Rankin Jiu-Jitsu Academy helps students find a healthier lifestyle through Jiu-Jitsu. We set an example for students to follow through exercise, eating right, and taking care of both body and mind. Martial arts training is not only self-defense education, but a method to improve mental wellbeing. Rankin Jiu-Jitsu Academy builds a solid foundation of Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals to ensure a successful future.
Head instructor Justin Donald has an impressive history that strengthens the quality of his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes. As a now retired military veteran, he served in the Office of Special Investigation where he lead protective service operations for dignitaries! This combination of experiences makes Justin well-equipped to teach, with Law Enforcement Training and specific techniques for self-defense and anti-bullying.
Our History:
Justin Donald opened Rankin Jiu-Jitsu Academy’s doors in October 2023. Justin has trained since 1989 and has a long history of martial arts instruction. His journey led him back to Pearl, Mississippi to help his father battle cancer. Justin was passionate about continuing to teach BJJ and owning a Jiu-Jitsu academy. Today, Justin is happy to live out his dream and watch his students progress on and off the mat.
